Artist's Statement

I have always enjoyed the outdoors, landscapes and wildlife, as well as the night sky. I retired three years ago and wanted to find something that satisfied those things. I have taken pictures in the past but not to the degree that I do today. A friend of mine helped me get into photography with suggestions on equipment and advice on growing as a photographer. I enjoy getting out and exploring, bringing places and things to life with my photos. I have learned that every photo tells a story from the photographer, and every photo is also interpreted by the person viewing it. I believe like any form of art, photography should stir an emotion, spark a thought and stop you for a moment to ponder what you looking at. I hope you enjoy some of my photos.
